TRAINING SCHEDULE
June – December 2026

Schedule Notes:

  • If you took OSHA in the LAST 5 YEARS, you are considered CURRENT and are not eligible to enroll in the class.
  • Upgrade Classes are for Journeyworkers ONLY
  • Apprentice Courses are for Apprentices ONLY unless there is room.
  • It is recommended but not required that you take Construction Math prior to taking Blueprint Reading and Hoisting & Rigging.
  • Scissor/Boom lift classes must be confirmed 3 weeks prior to start of class so student can be mailed course materials that must be finished before performance and written test can be completed.  Performance and written test is required and done in 1 day and you will receive 16 hours for successful completion.

  • OSHA courses are done online only. See instructions for enrolling in OSHA 10

Current Apprenticeship Policies in Effect:

  • Apprentices MUST submit monthly work process reports even if no hours are worked during the month.
  • Apprentices MUST have their monthly work process forms signed by their supervisor and submitted to the Training Fund by the 10th of the following month. Late and/or unsigned reports will result in appropriate strike or demerit being recorded on the apprentice’s student record.

Apprenticeship Required Curriculum

1st Year Apprentice – 90% of Full Journeyworker wage scale

1st Aid/CPR & OSHA10 Initial Courses take prior to entering the field
General Construction 40 hours
Concrete Course 40 hours
Craft Orientation 40 hours
Mason Tending 40 hours

Complete 1800 on the job hours

2nd Year Apprentice – 95% of Full Journeywork wage scale

Construction Math 40 hours
Blueprint Reading 40 hours
Line & Grade 40 hours
Pipelaying 40 hours
